Dealer Portal for Marketing Collateral and Product Information

Summary

TOTO is the world’s largest plumbing products manufacturer. For over 90 years, TOTO has produced superbly designed products that boast reliable performance and high-efficiency for residential bathrooms and commercial restrooms.

TOTO sells their products through a vast network of dealers and showrooms across the country. Arke Systems was able to provide a dealer portal for distributing product information and marketing collateral to TOTO’s dealers.

Challenge

TOTO launches new products all year. Communicating product information, distributing marketing collateral, and providing the dealers with the resources they need to successfully sell the products has its challenges.

TOTO provides the dealers with marketing collateral but needs to limit the amount each dealer receives. Each dealer only carries certain products and they each consume the marketing collateral differently. To reduce waste, TOTO needed a way to distribute just the materials each dealer needed and when they need it.

Solution

In partnership with TOTO’s digital agency, Arke Systems developed the TOTO Partners dealer portal. Dealers enter the portal through a secure login to access product information, training materials, and marketing collateral.

With “TOTO Bucks”, dealers purchase marketing collateral through the E-Commerce system. The system transmits the orders to TOTO’s fulfillment center to ship the materials to the dealers.

The system also features a content management system that allows TOTO to quickly publish new product information and training materials to the website.

Results

The solution allowed TOTO to bring an outsourced fulfillment system in-house so they could leverage their existing distribution capabilities. This leveraged fulfillment model combined with efficiencies in the amount of marketing collateral sent to the dealers resulted in a significant cost savings to TOTO.

Additionally, the improved ability to publish product information and training materials to the dealers reduced the time it took dealers to receive this content and also gave the dealers one concise location to find all the information they need to sell the TOTO product lines.
